Go Outside with a Screen House

Most of us find the idea of getting out and enjoying nature to be appealing, but when it comes down to it, sometimes the conditions we experience are such that we find ourselves wishing we had never left the safety and comfort of our homes in the first place. This can be due to bad weather, bugs (flies and especially mosquitoes), and probably not sleeping well due to being cooped up in a tent that is unbelievably hot and muggy. For two of these three bummers, we can rely on the screen house to get us past the problem so that we can better enjoy the outdoors.
That’s because a screen house offers protection from the elements, but not enough protection to defeat the whole purpose of going outside. It provides shelter where it’s needed- over head from the rain and sun. It also keeps out those blood sucking parasites, mosquitoes, while still allowing us to take in the view all around us. The use of screens in place of walls also lets the breeze in, so we don’t start to feel like we’re suffocating as when in a nylon tent.
Screen houses come in two basic categories, though there is some overlap in use. They are available for camping, and these are lightweight models that break down to be packed in a bag for portability. They are also available for general outdoor use in the yard as freestanding structures which can be set up where we please. Outdoor screen houses for camping can, of course, be used like the less portable types, but the models meant for use in the yard will be more appropriate for home use due to their usually beefier frames and higher ceiling. One way to get the maximum enjoyment out of a screen house, whether for home or camping, is to get a model that is round or that has more sides than a square. These spaces will be much nicer to occupy.
